Hi, I’m Kirsten Nelsen

Training for Optimal Balance is what I teach. In Training for Optimal Balance I share researched information that explores the root causes of behavior, lameness or performance issues. We change the underlying, internal conditions in order to resolve problems and develop latent talents, in people and horses. Because my focus is just balance, related to nervous system functions and the coordination of any conformation, this type of training applies to all horses and people. At any age, with all those imperfections, we can optimize balance by improving the functional use of the body and mind. Task performance is easy once the internal conditions are right.

Ray Hunt, exceptional cowboy and horse whisperer, once said, “I could start a young horse in a barbed wire bit if I had enough feel.” Ray’s...
